It was founded in 1953, following the end of the partnership between Achille Savinelli and Enea Buzzi in 1947. The pipe we have here is a very fine, high grade estate pipe.

Smoke Channel (Draft Hole): Drilled dead center of the chamber and flush with the chamber floor. 

 

Shank: Very clean. Mostly light in color.

 

Chamber Cleanliness: There is a very light, healthy layer of cake. It has a positive effect on the smoke. Still, it would be good to smoke it down to the bottom for a while.

 

Condition: 8/10

 

Flaws: Flawless apart from one pit so small it is barely visible.

 

Score: 9/10

 

Comment: An upper-intermediate pipe. It was made from very high-quality briar and the pipe has been laid out beautifully on the block. The draft hole is very good. We already know that Brebbia makes very fine pipes.

There is a cake layer too thin to be worth reaming, and in my view that is a plus. It will only get much better if it is smoked down to the bottom for a while.
