Oldenkott Derby Lux - German Estate Pipe
TRY 0.00
A brand founded in 1760 that is still alive today. A true dinosaur that makes genuinely top-tier pipes and, after weathering various hardships, still continues to produce pipes today.
The pipe you are looking at is a special estate pipe in very good condition, spotlessly clean, and estimated to have been made between 1950 and 1960.

Draft Hole (Air Hole): Flush with the chamber floor and dead center in the chamber, flawless.
Shank: Very clean. It has had no extra work done.
Chamber Cleanliness: The chamber is very clean. There is no cake layer or carbon.
Flaws: One pit on the bowl. I could not find any other fault.
Score: 8/10
Note: Any pipe in which you do not build a cake layer will run hot unless you keep a very, very slow and systematic pace. Heat is not a valid criterion for pipes without a cake.
