Shank: Whitish and very clean.

 

Draft Hole (Air Hole): Dead center in the chamber and flush with the chamber floor.

 

Chamber Cleanliness: Very well reamed and quite symmetrical.

 

Condition: 8/10

 

Flaws: One pit under the shank. The tenon is loose.

 

Score: 6/10

 

Comment: An estate pipe with very good briar and workmanship. The mouthpiece is loose, though not so loose that the bowl would fall off easily. Since it will warm up during the smoke, this will not be a problem.
