Draft Hole (Air Hole): Dead center of the chamber and flush with the chamber bottom.

 

Chamber Reaming: Very well reamed and quite symmetrical.

 

Condition: 7/10

 

Flaws: One pit under the shank.

 

Score: 8/10

 

Comment: Inside the mortise the tenon meets the air hole perfectly. V-cut mouthpiece. Draft hole flush with the chamber bottom. I think the air hole was redrilled during restoration, but it was done very cleanly. Quite wide. A wide air hole helps a great deal with sipping and keeping the pipe lit. A French estate pipe worth experiencing.
