The pipes were made by Joan Bonet i Nadal, born 1929 and known as 'Bonet de ses pipes'; the maker is now retired. The name is struck in block letters on the stamp, and the maker has written four books on pipes: Les rondalles de la pipa (1978), ...I fumant en pipa (1981), Pipades i vivències (1983), and Las Pipas (1989).
