The brand of the Penn Tobacco Company, founded in Wilkes-Barre in 1901 by Russell Uhl (d. 1914) and Henry Weigand (d. 1942); the brand's namesake, Bruce Peters, was the company's treasurer. Of the firm's four pipe series, Bruce Peters was the top tier; the others were Silver Mac Duff, Vox Pop, and Broadcaster. The pipes were made for Penn by Henry Leonard & Thomas and were obtainable only with the firm's tobacco coupons.
