Introduced in the early 1900s, the Prima series represented the top grade of its time. In the example's Birmingham Assay Office mark, the date letter "l" indicates 1910. The "Comoy's" stamp, written in flowing, forward-slanted cursive with a tail after the "s", was used from 1900 to roughly 1919.
