Records indicate the pipe was made at the FBC workshops in St Claude, which also produced Longchamp pipes; a leather-covered oval bowl and a spiral metal pin are distinctive features of this production. The bowls were leather-covered at a Paris workshop, then sent to London to be fitted with a Parker stem. The stamp is one of the examples showing the link between French pipe manufacture and London brands.
