Mark Tinsky and Curt Rollar founded The American Smoking Pipe Co. in 1978; Rollar left the company in 1990. Stamps include pipes dated 2001, carved for Pipes and Tobaccos magazine's pipe of the year and for members of the alt.smokers.pipes (A.S.P.) forum. In the "Reg n° 382" stamp, the letters G P M T correspond to a reading of the date March 1982 and the maker's name.
