This meerschaum pipe's stem is made of horn; examples of this material carved as a P-Lip are rare. The band is silver but carries no hallmark, so the pipe cannot be dated. Because the "P" stem logos resemble one another, Peterson meerschaum pipes should not be confused with Pioneer pipes.
