The pipes are made by Bob Swanson; the brand name comes from Swanson's grandfather. The letters MM in the stamp indicate Italian-sourced briar. Smooth pipes are graded A, sandblasted or rustic pipes B, from 1 to 3; larger sizes are marked with codes from XL to XXXL and M (magnum); per records, 2010 production was 50-75 pipes a year.
