Poul Hansen trained under Sixten Ivarsson in the 1960s and 1970s; he first made tools and machinery for Danish pipe makers, then began making his own pipes. He sold the Danish Pipe Shop he founded in Copenhagen to Steffen Nielsen in 1969 and retired in 1998. See also Hansen Briar.
