Maker Reiner Thilo Bindschädel (b. 1961) began selling his pipes in 2002. The code in the stamp consists of one letter and one digit: the digit indicates the surface finish (3 rustic, 2 partly rustic, 1 and 0 smooth), while the letter shows a quality grade rising from "e" to "a"; "Premium" grade pipes are stamped with his name instead. Annual production is about 120 pipes.
