The example pipe is a "carburetor" type, fitted with an adjustment valve beneath the bowl; a similar mechanism is seen on the Dunhill Airstream, Kaywoodie Carburetor, Passat, and Yello-Bole pipes. The brand was produced by Civic and La Bruyère; records indicate La Bruyère absorbed Chapuis-Comoy in 1932.
