The workshop was located in Brussels, at 85 rue du Marché aux Herbes. Precise dating is not possible; records place this pipe before the Second World War based on the old address on the box lid. The French inscription on the side of the box states that the workshop was an appointed supplier to the Prince of Belgium; this title belonged to Albert I, who was king of Belgium from 1909 to 1934.
