Jesse's Own

Jesse's Own is a mild English blend built by adding a portion of Maryland leaf on top of sweet Virginias. Per the manufacturer's recipe, a small amount of Oriental leaf is added for a soft, tangy flavor, followed by light touches of Cyprus Latakia and Perique. No additives are reported.

Because the Latakia ratio is kept low, the smoke stays in the background without covering the Virginia sweetness; Perique adds a spicy twist. Nicotine is mild and flavor mild-to-moderate. With this structure, the blend offers a middle path smokable all day by both fans of unflavored Virginias and smokers not yet accustomed to heavy English blends.
