20-4-Dexter’s Secret

Dexter's Secret is the English-style entry in the 7-20-4 Briary Blends line. Virginia and Burley leaf, along with Perique from the St. James region, are added over a generous amount of Cyprus Latakia. The mixture is pressed, cut into flake, and put into tins as broken flake, so it only needs to be rubbed out by hand before packing. The line was introduced in 2023.

In the taste description, cream, soot, and citrus tones are followed by a dark, fig-like fruit sweetness; the Perique adds a spicy edge to that sweetness. Body is medium, so it isn't on the heavy end among Latakia blends. It suits those looking for a balanced English mixture smokable any time of day and those just warming up to Latakia.
