Caledonian Melange No.421 Superior Mixture is one of A & C Petersen's mellow, sweet blends representing the Danish style. Records indicate it's prepared by resting four separate base blends — Virginia, Cavendish, fire-cured leaf, and Oriental — separately before combining them by hand. In appearance, thickly cut red Virginia ribbons dominate, with brown tones and a small amount of black Cavendish among them.
