The Classic Gentleman

The Classic Gentleman was one of the house-recipe mixtures Turmeaus tobacconist prepared in-store. Per records it was made by combining two measures of pressed rope-cake tobacco, one measure of Latakia blending leaf, and one measure of Perique; the rope-cake tobacco brought Virginia and Burley's mature sweetness to the blend, while the Perique added a spice layer leaning toward dried fruit and pepper.

Carrying no sweetening sauce and relying only on the leaves' own taste, it's an intense smoke in the medium-strong band. Using Perique and Latakia together makes the blend layered; it suits smokers familiar with unflavored English mixtures and pressed Virginia-Burley tobaccos.
