Green Castle

Green Castle is the aromatic member of Anthony Cranswick's Castle line, distinguished by color names. Burley and Virginia leaf form the blend's backbone; a small amount of black Cavendish and a vanilla flavoring are added over it. This structure places the blend somewhere between American-style Burley-heavy aromatics and Danish-style lightly sweetened aromatics.

Since Burley's nutty, dry base balances the vanilla's sweetness, no wall of sugar forms; Virginia adds a measured bready sweetness. Nicotine load is light-to-medium, and the ribbon cut makes for an even burn. It's considered a suitable middle path for smokers new to aromatic blends or for those who don't want the tobacco taste erased in a vanilla tobacco.
