Rex-Maiden Lane Blend

Maiden Lane is one of the house blends from Barclay Rex, the tobacconist operating in New York since 1910. It's named after Maiden Lane, the address the shop moved to in 1949; the family business, run by generations of the Nastri family, has relocated several times in Lower Manhattan. The blend brings together Virginia, Burley, Oriental, Latakia, and Perique leaf, built in the style of an unflavored English mixture.

Latakia gives a smoky backbone while Perique adds a spicy, peppery edge; Virginia sweetness and Burley's dry body come in between. It offers a medium-strength smoke with high flavor intensity. It's aimed at smokers accustomed to unflavored English blends, looking for a mixture with a pronounced spice accent.
