Flake de Luxe

Flake de Luxe is a flake pressed into broad slices from selected sweet, mellow Virginia leaf. The slices range in color from light to medium brown, with occasional darker patches; though relatively dry and crumbly-looking, they hold together tightly. On opening the tin, apricot is the dominant note; the light topping over it is one example of the soft, fruited top-note style referred to as the Danish style.

The blend belongs to a line established in memory of Danish pipe maker Bjarne Nielsen and is prepared by the German maker Dan Tobacco (DTM). With its light nicotine, it suits smokers looking for an all-day tobacco sitting somewhere between a lightly topped Virginia flake and a light aromatic. According to records, its distribution is largely limited to the German market.
