Authentic

Borkum Riff Authentic is made from a combination of black Cavendish, flue-cured Virginia, and Burley leaf. After blending, the mixture is pressed into cakes under warm pressure; the rested cakes are then sliced into flakes and rubbed out for packing. This preparation gives it a denser, slower-burning structure than the loose-cut blends common in the line.

The Borkum Riff brand was born in Sweden in 1962, taking its name from a lighthouse in the North Sea; the blends are now produced at Scandinavian Tobacco Group's Assens factory in Denmark. Authentic is the line's option that avoids heavy flavoring and lets the tobacco's own taste lead; it suits smokers accustomed to Cavendish sweetness who want less topping, and those looking for an all-day smoke.
