Balkan Flake

Balkan Flake is an unflavored blend built by adding Latakia and Turkish Oriental leaf over a Virginia base, pressed into flake form. It belongs to the Latakia branch of the Bosphorus series produced in Istanbul; the Oriental leaf the brand uses is of Adıyaman origin, while some of the Latakia comes from Syria.

The blend is considered full in nicotine. Latakia's smoky, resinous taste comes forward, with the Oriental's spicy tartness and Virginia's sweetness sitting underneath it. Because of its pressed structure, the slices need to be crumbled before filling, and aired if needed. Suitable for experienced smokers seeking an unflavored, full-bodied, smoky Balkan blend.
