Black Angel Flake

Black Angel Flake is an unflavored English-type flake prepared by adding about 10% Burley and 45% Syrian Latakia to yellow and red Virginia. Despite the high Latakia proportion, Virginia's sweetness balances the strength; the result is a medium-strength smoke with intense flavor. Burley adds a bitter, spicy layer to the blend, and nicotine is at a satisfying level.

When filling with flake it should be loaded loosely enough not to block airflow, and the smoking pace kept low; otherwise wetness can appear. Aimed at smokers accustomed to Latakia-forward blends, seeking an unflavored, full smoke.
