Virginia & Perique Flake

Virginia & Perique Flake is Bosphorus's flake-cut blend built from golden virginia and perique. The slices are cut thicker than usual, and the product is offered moist; drying it briefly before smoking, and using the Z-fold method when filling flake, gives a balanced smoke.

Its character rests on the balance between a sweet, lightly tart virginia base and perique's spicy, grassy, woody note. The perique proportion is pronounced but does not cover the virginia; the two components take turns coming forward through the smoke. Suitable for smokers accustomed to flake filling, seeking a Virginia/Perique with no casing or one barely perceptible.
