Latakia Flake Mixture No. 9

Latakia Flake No. 9, in Brebbia's numbered series, is a pressed flake tobacco built on Virginia and Syrian Latakia. The Latakia proportion is kept noticeably lower than the same brand's Balkan blend; the blend is calibrated to bring out the Syrian leaf's finer tones.

The slices come dry and crumble easily by hand, so keeping them whole is difficult. In the smoke, Virginia's sweetness and Latakia's woody smoke run in balance; the blend is not a heavy Latakia bomb. Suitable for smokers experienced with working flake tobacco and seeking a measured dose of smoke.
