Serenata (Mixture No. 28)

Serenata is a medium-intensity English mixture numbered 28 in Italian pipe manufacturer Brebbia's numbered blend series. Its composition includes small-leaf Syrian Latakia, bright Virginias and a mahogany-colored, spicy dark burley. Per records the blend was previously released under the name English Mixture No. 80 and later took the name Serenata.

Syrian Latakia sets the taste at the blend's center; but since the proportion is not kept heavy, the smoke gives a balanced woody spice rather than dry smoke. Burley adds a nutty, earthy body while the Virginias round out the mixture with a light sugar sweetness. With nicotine and flavor staying at a medium level, it is a suitable option for smokers newly moving into Latakia blends or wanting to get to know Syrian Latakia in a soft frame.
