Golden Cake

Golden Cake is the light-colored virginia cake in Butera's Royal Vintage line. Long-leaf bright golden virginia, rested for years and hot-air cured, is pressed into cake form without further darkening.

Since it is not darkened, a flavor turning between sweet and tart appears instead of Dark Stoved's dark spice; virginia's warm, hay-like natural taste is pronounced. Coming in cake form, it needs to be crumbled before smoking. Suitable for smokers seeking the simplicity of light virginias and a structure that matures with time.
