Latakia No.1 is the Balkan-style blend in Butera's Royal Vintage line. Its composition uses generous mountain-grown Cyprus Latakia, joined by a notable proportion of Turkish basma leaf, bright North Carolina and red virginia.
In the blend Oriental leaf sits slightly ahead of the Latakia, so the smoke is soft while the woody, dry-spice side is more pronounced. The body is medium. Suitable for smokers who want Latakia as a carrying rather than a masking element, seeking Oriental-forward Balkan blends.
