Regular (white)

Captain Black Regular, in its white package, is the brand's best-known and most widely distributed blend in the world. It contains black Cavendish alongside light-colored Virginia and Burley leaf that has not been converted to Cavendish; the cut is ribbon.

It is very light in nicotine and low in tobacco flavor; the defining element is a mixed sweet casing built mainly around vanilla. Because moisture is high, it burns wet if filled without airing. The room note is distinctly sweet and bakery-like, and lingers in a space for a long time. It is the product most smokers encounter first when seeking a light, sweet, easy-smoking starter blend rather than tobacco character.
