Downwind

Downwind is the Burley-forward member of Cascadia Pipe Co.'s five-blend, nature-themed series. Like the other members it is offered in pressed-cake form; the cake structure preserves the tobacco's moisture and requires it to be sliced before filling.

Nutty, dry, earthy Burley forms the body of the blend; Virginia leaf provides a faint sweet-tart balance in the background. No flavor casing is used. Nicotine sits at the upper end of the series and it burns slow and cool. Aimed at smokers seeking an unflavored Burley character with body, wanting a non-aromatic everyday blend.
