Collection

Collection is the unflavored Virginia blend in the tobacco line released under its own name by Italian pipe maker Castello; according to records it was introduced in 2013, with the blending done by the American manufacturer Cornell & Diehl. It contains only rested red and light yellow Virginia leaf.

The lemony tartness of light Virginias and the bready depth of red Virginias are given together; since no casing is used, the flavor comes entirely from the leaf itself. High natural sugar content calls for a slow smoke. Suitable for smokers accustomed to unflavored Virginia who enjoy following the development of single-leaf blends.
