Pirates' Plunder

Pirates' Plunder is the American-type blend in the Century line, offered in Krumble Kake form. Per the seller's description, matured virginia leaves are backed by earthy burley, sweet cavendish and a small amount of latakia; the blend is topped with a flavoring reminiscent of Jamaican rum. The cake, compressed with heat and pressure, is crumbled before loading into the pipe.

The rum casing makes the sweetness pronounced, while the small share of latakia leaves a fine smokiness in the background; burley adds body and a nutty base to the blend. The pressed structure gives a slow, cool burn. Suitable for smokers who enjoy rum-flavored tobaccos but want a record where the tobacco taste is still present rather than a wholly sweet aromatic.
