T 16

T 16 is a full-bodied blend presented as a traditional English mixture. Its composition contains ripe, distinctly smoky Syrian Latakia; this powerful leaf is used at a level that doesn't overwhelm the other components, leaving room for the sweet, spiced Izmir Oriental leaf. Light Virginia adds sweetness and depth to the blend, while perique is added in a small amount. The leaves are aged for an extended period.

The blend is among the heartiest members of the series prepared in small batches under Danish pipe maker Jess Chonowitsch's name. It is aimed at smokers looking for classic English mixtures with Syrian Latakia, not shying away from a settled, heavy smoke.
