T 17 is a full-bodied blend in which a pronounced Latakia share is combined with soft, sweet Oriental leaves, with Virginia set behind them as the chosen backbone. Despite carrying Latakia weight, the roundness of the Oriental leaves brings the blend closer to the Balkan type.
The series consists of small-batch productions Danish pipe maker Jess Chonowitsch had prepared to accompany his own pipes; each blend is prepared and rested in small quantity. This is an entry aimed at those looking for mixtures where Latakia and Oriental leaf stand out together.
