Macedonian Mixture

Compton's of Galashiels is a blend series described as prepared in Scotland based on original recipes from the turn of the century; the series' general structure uses various Virginias, unflavored cavendish, Latakia, and Izmir-origin Orientals, along with rare Oriental leaves such as Yenidje and Dubec. Macedonian Mixture is the Balkan-style member of this series.

What defines the blend's character is its Oriental leaves, Yenidje in particular; Latakia builds the smoky frame, while the Virginias leave a sweet base beneath.
