Bridge Mixture

Bridge Mixture is a ribbon-cut blend where a bright-and-red Virginia base is spiced with Turkish leaf, Latakia, perique, cavendish, and a small amount of fire-cured Kentucky. As its name suggests, it is built as a bridge blend: it carries enough smoke to draw a Virginia smoker closer to Latakia mixtures.

The Latakia level is kept from taking over the body; the smoky layer sits like a thin veil over Virginia's sweetness and perique's spice. Black cavendish softens it, while Kentucky adds an earthy depth. Nicotine strength is medium, flavor intensity a notch above that. It suits smokers not yet accustomed to heavy English mixtures but looking for an unflavored, smoky taste.
