Interlude

Interlude is a blend where Cornell & Diehl presses dark red Virginia leaf, lightly sweetened with a touch of honey to bring out the leaf's own sweetness, and slices it into flake. The slices are neat and relatively moist; they can be packed rubbed out or folded and stuffed into the chamber, the latter giving a slower, more intense smoke.

The profile leads with dried fruit, bread, and grass notes; the honey theme is kept from overpowering the tobacco. The richness expected from red Virginia is somewhat softened by the flavoring, while nicotine sits at medium. The ash can come out coarse, and airing before packing helps regulate the burn.
