Izmir Turkish

Izmir Turkish is a member of Cornell & Diehl's single-varietal leaf series, consisting solely of unflavored, ribbon-cut Izmir leaf. This sun-cured, small-leafed Oriental tobacco is low in nicotine and intense in flavor, and is cut to the company's own blending specifications.

Its profile has a woody base, a pronounced peppery spice, and just enough fruity tang to keep things balanced; on the retrohale, a perfumed black-pepper note with a hint of sweetness appears. The body is light. It is intended primarily as a blending component, though it can be smoked on its own; it suits those wanting to get to know Oriental tobacco's character in its pure form.
