John Marr

John Marr is a Virginia blend built by adding a significant proportion of Oriental leaf, measured Perique, and black Cavendish to bright and red Virginias, lightly flavored with bourbon and vanilla. It takes its name from Herman Melville's sailor poem of the same title and is presented ribbon cut.

On the smoke, Virginia leads, with the other components accompanying it in balance: Oriental leaf and Perique together provide depth and spice, while the casing stays light enough to sit in harmony with Virginia's dry-hay scent. Strength is medium. Suited to those looking for a blend sitting between unflavored Virginia and aromatic that can be smoked all day.
