Lone Sentinel is one of four plug tobaccos in Cornell & Diehl's national-parks-inspired Summit series. Its composition consists of whole-leaf red and orange Virginias and pure St. James Perique; it's a classic Virginia-Perique construction, pressed into a dense plug.
During its time under press the flavors merge, producing a smooth, settled smoke. The profile shows Perique's sharp spice, fermented stone-fruit tones, and a fine citrus line layer by layer. With body and nicotine above medium, it's aimed at smokers accustomed to cutting plug and to full-bodied Virginia-Perique blends.
