Midnight Drive

Midnight Drive is one of Cornell & Diehl's blends presented pressed and coarsely broken into flake. Its composition holds bright Virginia leaf, Perique, a small amount of Cyprus Latakia, and a thin Oriental layer; in the tin it shows a dark brown, coarse-piece appearance.

The flavor structure is built by citrusy, grassy, lightly honeyed bright Virginia. Perique gives spicy, grape-like, plummy support, while Latakia leaves a smoky, woody, leathery background, though it isn't used at a level that turns the blend into a Latakia bomb. Suited to smokers looking for a balance between sweetness and smoke, drawn to Virginia-based but smoky blends.
