Or Olam - Light of the Universe

Or Olam (Light of the Universe) is Cornell & Diehl's take on the classic Virginia-Perique mold. Red and golden Virginia leaf are combined with Perique, topped with Oriental varieties; a small amount of red Virginia Cavendish is used at the finish, aiming for a soft, sweet close. It's ribbon cut.

On the maker's scale, strength is light, flavor and room note medium. Virginia's breadlike sweetness, Perique's plum-and-pepper spice, and the Oriental's dry, lightly tart contribution move together. Suited to those who like an unflavored Virginia-Perique construction but want a blend that isn't too strong. It belongs to the brand's Hebrew-named Or Olam series.
