Orient Express

Orient Express is a layered mixture named after the historic train line that ran between Istanbul and Paris. Per Cornell & Diehl's listing, Virginia, Latakia, Oriental leaves, Perique, and black Cavendish are used together. While the Oriental leaves' grassy-tart line and Latakia's smoke stay up front, black Cavendish adds a rounding sweetness and Perique a measured spice.

The ribbon cut lights easily and burns evenly. With nicotine in the medium band, it's well suited to long smokes. Designed for smokers who like an Oriental-heavy Balkan line and want Latakia within a mixture rather than on its own.
