Plantation Evening is a middle-of-the-road English mixture Cornell & Diehl builds on aged Virginia. Per the maker's listing, Latakia, Perique, and Turkish leaf are added to matured Virginia. The Latakia dose is enough to give a smoky layer but doesn't mask Virginia's sweetness.

Body stays in a band stretching from mild to medium; Perique adds measured spice, and the Oriental leaf a grassy edge. The ribbon cut packs easily and burns evenly. Suited to smokers who find full-bodied Latakia bombs too heavy and want a balanced English mixture.
