Red Virginia Cavendish

Red Virginia Cavendish is obtained by Cornell & Diehl processing red Virginia leaf from the Old Belt region through the Cavendish method at its own facility. It's made of a single leaf variety, carries no casing, and is presented ribbon cut.

Since the Cavendish process brings out the leaf's natural sugar, the blend, per the maker's description, carries a sweet character reminiscent of bread fresh from the oven. On the maker's scale, strength, flavor, and room note are medium. It can be smoked on its own or used as a sweetening component in house blends; suited to those looking for unflavored Virginia sweetness.
