Snug Harbor

Snug Harbor is a mixture built on a Burley-based body with Turkish leaf, Latakia, and Perique added, topped with only a light casing meant to sharpen the natural sweetness and room note. It's ribbon cut and is generally referred to under the heading of a light aromatic English mixture.

On the smoke, Burley and Oriental leaf come forward together, building a nutty, lightly tangy line. Latakia's smoke is measured, and Perique adds spice. The casing is noticeable at the start of the bowl, then recedes, leaving the leaves' own taste in front. It sits at a middle point for those not wanting to go fully into smoky flavor but who find unflavored blends too flat.
