White Burley

White Burley is one of Cornell & Diehl's single-leaf bulk products. It's obtained by cutting top-grade light-colored Burley leaf from Kentucky fields into ribbon form. Since Burley has a low sugar content, it naturally burns slowly and offers a dry, nutty base rather than sweetness.

It can be smoked on its own or used as a base leaf by those building their own blends; it takes well to combining with Virginia, Perique, or aromatic casings. On the maker's scale, strength, flavor, and room note are given as medium. Aimed at smokers wanting to get to know Burley character in its plain form.
