Yorktown

Yorktown is an unflavored Virginia blend. Per the maker's description, stoved red Virginia is combined with bright Virginia and put through the steaming process again; plain red Virginia is then added on top of this base for sweetness. The result is a dark-colored, heavily sugared ribbon cut.

Thanks to the double-processed leaf, flavor deepens toward dark fruit, molasses, and bread crust, with tartness staying in the background. It contains no Latakia, Perique, or any casing. Aimed at smokers looking for single-varietal Virginia blends and the taste of dark, stoved leaf.
